In my “Best of 2009” mix, I included Jose Gonzalez’s cover of “Heartbeats” (which is nothing less than stellar) but lately, kind of digging the original by The Knife even more.

I know what you mean… I heard the Jose Gonzalez version on a SONY bravia tv commercial in ’06 and loved it so much I had to find the artist. I took me forever because I kept running into this version that I hated by a band called “the Knife”. fast forward a few years and I have definitely acquired an affinity for the original. I love the retro style music video for the knife
